Princess - Motoryachten

Die heutige Werft Princess Yachts International PLC wurde 1965 in Plymouth, England als Marine Projects Ltd. gegründet. Das erste, in der ursprünglichen Produktionsstätte in der Newport Street gebaute Modell war die Project 31, welche knapp 10 Jahre lang produziert wurde.

1973 kam die von John Bennett designte Princess 37 Y-Hull auf den Markt und sollte ein großer Erfolg für die Werft werden. Ein Jahr später folgte die V-Hull Variante, erstmals mit High Performance Diesel Innenbordern. Nach weiteren Neuheiten in der Princess Modellpalette erschien mit der Princess 30DS das erste Ergebnis der neuen Zusammenarbeit von Marine Projects und Designer Bernard Olesinski auf dem Wassersport Markt, eine Zusammenarbeit, die bis heute andauert.

In den Folgejahren wurde die Modellpalette sukzessive und mit großen Erfolg ausgebaut. Viele Princess Modelle wurden Exportschlager, was zu einer schrittweisen Erweiterung und Neuerwerb von Produktionsflächen in den 90er Jahren führte.

Heute ist Princess Yachts mit ca. 1500 Beschäftigten und 80.000 m² Produktionsfläche einer der Branchenriesen und steht insbesondere für Motoryachten, die durch ihr Design, die Technolgie und ihren Luxus hervorstechen.
